How long will it take?
Every patient is different so giving a time frame is difficult. However if you come on a regular basis and continue care as stated you will notice definite improvement. On your first visit you will be evaluated using time-honored methods, including consultation, case history, physical examination, and X-ray examination. In addition, you will receive a careful chiropractic structural examination, with particular attention paid to the spine. After this point Dr. Hoffman will review everything with you and from there go over a treatment plan and give you an overall idea of where to go from that first visit. Dr. Hoffman says give in weeks what it took years for you to acquire.
How much does it cost?
As treatment can vary from patient to patient, cost of services can vary as well. Each case is different and in that regard Dr. Hoffman will base services such as the initial visit upon each person he has walk through the door.
Does it hurt?
Chiropractic is widely recognized as one of the safest drug-free, non-invasive therapies available for the treatment of neuromusculoskeletal complaints. With your first couple of chiropractic adjustments most experience immediate relief, this sets in motion a series of changes as each visit builds on the ones before. It is not unusual to be a little sore, but don’t let that discourage you. Reducing inflammation takes time and there are many factors that will affect the speed of recovery. In many cases of chronic health problems progress comes more slowly. It has probably taken years for your health to reach the symptomatic stage and therefore creating a new healthier spinal pattern may take time to get you back to a happy and healthy you!
Do I have to keep coming back?
Yes, continued care is very important in getting you and your body back to feeling good again. The hands-on nature of the chiropractic treatment is essentially what requires patients to visit the chiropractor a number of times. Dr. Hoffman provides acute, chronic, and/or preventive care thus making a certain number of visits necessary. Every person is different so length of treatment time can vary as well. With all of that being said; Be careful! Discontinuing care too soon, before lasting changes are made invites a relapse. Dr. Hoffman simply makes recommendations based on his findings and experience, therefore patients are free to get treatment with any frequency they choose.
Can you help me if I was told I need surgery?
Yes there are many different alternatives to surgery. One common option we offer in our office is Spinal Decompression Therapy. Decompression therapy is a high tech customized traction-based procedure that is one of the long term treatment options used for low back and neck problems. It is also a leading non-surgical alternative for disc related syndromes.

Do you treat children/babies/pregnant women?
Yes. Babies and children can greatly benefit from chiropractic care. The birthing process can be very traumatic and brand new babies benefit greatly by being treated with chiropractic care. Children are very physically active and experience many types of falls and blows from activities of daily living as well as from participating in sports. Injuries such as these may cause many symptoms including back and neck pain, stiffness, soreness or discomfort. Chiropractic care is always adapted to the individual patient. It is a highly skilled treatment, and in the case of children, very gentle. Anytime is a good time for a better functioning nervous system. Pregnant mothers find that chiropractic adjustments improve their pregnancy and make delivery easier for themselves and their baby. Adjusting methods are always adapted to a patient’s size, weight, age, and condition of health.

We also offer a Wellness Program; which makes the cost of each visit come out to be the cost of co-pay if you did have some form of insurance. Why should I choose Chiropractic?
Chiropractic is the method of natural healing most chosen by those seeking complementary/alternative health care for acute and chronic conditions. While you may first visit a chiropractor to relieve pain in the lower back or to treat sciatica, neck pain, whiplash or headache, you will find that a chiropractor views you as a whole person and not the sum of your parts. A chiropractor will work in partnership with you to ensure your optimal health and wellness. Chiropractors recognize that many factors affect your health, including exercise, nutrition, sleep, environment and heredity. Chiropractic focuses on maintaining your health naturally to help your body resist disease, rather than simply treating the symptoms of disease.
